Thanks to all of the support, I have almost reached my rent quota. I only need to sell $100 worth of zines to stop from being kicked to the curb! With the help of all of you badass feminists and/or rad zinester-loving folks who know what it’s like to be struggling financially, I’m restocked and ready to sell more! Visit my etsy here. The fourth issue of Cherry Bomb features topics such as body acceptance, a letter to the men of the world, the problems in riot grrrl, letting love find oneself instead of seeking it out, the contradiction of how women and girls should be wanted but should not want, feelings of becoming a woman, how appearance does not determine character, how to have a “greener” period, plus poems, art and photography! 

Inspired by the Riot Grrrl scene, Cherry Bomb is a place where girls and women can submit their stories, art, poetry and rants, find themselves in the art of others and join together without feeling ashamed, marginalized or discriminated against. Cherry Bomb features submissions from girls and women throughout the world including France, England, the United States and various provinces throughout Canada. Cherry Bomb is also online at cherrybombzine.tumblr.com. Proceeds from Cherry Bomb go towards future printings and enable girls and women who don’t have the resources to purchase a copy to be mailed one free of charge.

muchachafanzine: 2 nights of printing, sorting, folding, stapling and packaging. I am in utter disbelief at all of the unbelievable support I have received the past two days. Thanks to anyone who bought my fanzine! It really means more than I can put into words. I’ve restocked my zines on my etsy shop if anyone who hasn’t already bought a copy is interested. I’m gonna keep em’ coming. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I FUCKING LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! (screaming and jumping up and down hysterically & remembering all of you for when I win the lottery) Thanks to all of my followers who purchased copies of my friend Daisy’s feminist fanzine, Muchacha! Also, thanks to those who reblogged the post to spread the word! She has received a ton of support, and I’m really impressed; it’s amazing what people can do when they work together as a community and take care of one another. And I’m sure everyone is going to love the new issue just as much as I do! (It DOES feature Daria Morgendorffer.) Since she’s sold so many zines in the past few days, she sold out at one point, but luckily, she’s restocked her etsy shop. Pardon the incredibly blurry picture, but I was wondering if any of my fellow feminist bloggers would be interested in purchasing an EQUALITY painting. The style can vary according to your preference, and I use whatever colors you would like. The money made from these will be going to fund my research trip to the American Psychological Association’s national conference in Washington D.C. in August. My research partner and I created our research last September to study the Psychological Effects of Abortion Procedures on Women and Social Factors Influencing Views on Reproductive Choice. We presented our work at the Association of Women in Psychology’s national conference in February, and were thrilled by being accepted to present at APA’s conference in August. Unfortunately, my research partner and I won’t be able to afford to further our pro-choice research unless we can raise enough money for the trip. If you’re interested in a painting or making a small donation (every little bit helps!), there’s a donation button on the tumblr or you can message the inbox! PLEASE REBLOG &amp; SPREAD THE WORD!
